Josh Inglis’ explosive century dominates Australia’s win.

Australia wrapped up their T20I series against Scotland with a dominant performance, led by a historic century from Josh Inglis. In the third match held in Edinburgh, Inglis smashed the fastest century ever by an Australian in T20 Internationals, scoring a blistering 103 from just 49 balls. His knock, featuring seven sixes and seven fours, helped Australia post an imposing total of 196/4.

Despite a wobbly start, where opener Travis Head fell for a golden duck, Inglis, alongside Cameron Green, stabilized the innings. They put together a crucial 92-run partnership, allowing Australia to pile on the runs. Inglis reached his fifty in just 20 balls and continued his explosive batting to notch up a century off 43 balls before being dismissed in the penultimate over.

Scotland began their chase with a bang, as George Munsey hit two sixes in the opening over. However, Australia’s bowling attack quickly dismantled the Scottish batting lineup. Brandon McMullen fought valiantly, scoring 59 off 42 balls, but regular wickets, including a standout performance by Marcus Stoinis (4/23), halted any real progress. Scotland were bowled out for just 126, losing by 70 runs.

This series win underscored Australia’s depth in both batting and bowling, with Inglis’s record-breaking innings standing out as a highlight. For Scotland, the series offered lessons in handling pressure and facing high-quality opponents.
